"This is pride based on fear and insecurity. Begin, then, to see every trial is a test of your trust. If you persevere in trust through the assistance of grace, your love of God will be strengthened. If, however, you pull back through mistrust, the trial will be greater, and in the end such a soul will be weaker in his love of God."
