Jesus said: “My people, I know most people would find it hard to live a monastic life, but obedience to Me in carrying out your mission, is how I call everyone. You all have been given particular talents, and it is part of your responsibility to use your talents to bring yourself and others to your reward in heaven. The subject of the Gospel is on fasting which can help both your body and your spiritual life. By self-denial of the goods and pleasures of this life, you can strengthen your faith against the devil’s temptations. You can also use prayer and fasting to help others in their spiritual lives to overcome any addictions. By being obedient to My Commandments, and using your prayer and fasting, you can be on the right path to heaven.”
Jesus said: “My people, many Catholics today do not have a full appreciation of how much the early Christians had to suffer in fear of being martyred for their belief in Me. All of these martyrs became instant saints, even if they were not canonized by My Church. Many Catholics are not threatened with martyrdom, which is why some are getting too lazy and lukewarm. If you are Catholic, you need to show it in your actions, by coming to Sunday Mass and monthly Confession, along with daily prayer. A time is coming again when My people will be persecuted for believing in Me. So keep strong in your faith, and do not let any false religions mislead you.”
