"I invite you to see that pride, which everyone has to some degree, is really distorted self-love. When a person takes pride in his own opinion, it is very easy for his opinion, be it right or wrong, to poison the Holy Love in his heart."

"Remember, Holy Love makes allowances for others' frailties. Opinions are very often formed on the rash judgment of others' motives for their actions."

"While it is human to have opinions, the soul needs to carefully stand guard over the Holy Love in his heart and not allow it to be tainted by love of one's own opinion."
